Krista & Scott have one of the most memorable meet-cutes. It’s so good that it feels like they should have their own romantic-comedy. On one fateful Sunday, Krista was leaving a hot yoga class and Scott was at home in his sweatpants, both, however, were listening to the radio and had no idea that the other even existed. The radio show was giving away two tickets to a concert in their city and the first person to get to the radio station could claim the prize. Scott second-guessed himself on whether he should go or not until he decided to just go for it and Krista set off on a quick pace in her post-yoga glow knowing she was close by. Scott got to the door first and Krista came sprinting behind him and actually… ACTUALLY… jumped on him! Well neither of them won the tickets but the radio show host was so surprised to hear that they would have gone to the show together if the other had won which totally piqued his interest. This resulted in a full-on interview on the show and they did end up going on a date. And like they say, the rest is history.
Last February, Scott surprised Krista with a little getaway in celebration of her birthday to Victoria, BC. He had it all set up, reservations made, gave her a little spa day all under the impression that he was just treating her to a very special birthday celebration. Little did she know that when he brought her to the parliament building overlooking the bay that evening there would be a horse-drawn carriage where he would propose! Oh hello, Romance. She of course said “yes!”
Now these two are lucky and the rom-com universe would surely collide for these two to have the most idyllic celebration for their union as husband and wife. They tend to win things and so it’s no surprise that Krista won my elopement package that I gave away that month just shortly after her engagement became official. Like, how? I never win anything haha.
This past July, Krista and Scott were married in front of a small group of close friends and family at the beautiful intimate little Inn called the Bear & Bison in Canmore, Alberta. It was a simple and sweet ceremony where Scott accidentally kissed Krista as soon as he saw her (before the vows! woops!) and everyone shared a good laugh that they just couldn’t wait to be married and have that first kiss as husband and wife. They shared their promises to one another and their mega-watt smiles as they finally got to the final walk down the aisle as a newly married couple.
Krista has been such a fan of my work for so long and it was such a deep privilege to be part of such a beautiful day in their story, to capture those little details and PLAY. These two are so full of life and fun. They are always smiling and laughing and I got to see them on the day where their smiles never faded, not for an instance, not even when a giant downpour of rain came down minutes before the ceremony. They are truly best friends and I am excited for them to keep winning more things in their future, but maybe, their love was the greatest win of all. *SO CHEESY, I KNOW, BUT IT WORKS!*
Congratulations again Mr & Mrs Moros!!
