Jessica and Bradley knew of each other when they were just kids hanging out in Grand Prairie. Usually, Jess would see him at parties, he was the older brother of her friend Kristin and they had mutual friends so they crossed paths every so often (especially in a small town like Grand Prairie haha) and he was pretty persistent in showing his interest in her. It wasn’t until 2014 at a Halloween party that they ended up connecting and hanging out. They had their first date the following day and he ended up taking her to palm springs with her the following month for Christmas with his family. On that trip, Bradley wrote Jessica a long letter asking her to be officially his girlfriend. She, of course, said yes and they enjoyed their time at Disneyland in the desert heat.
After going to school in Edmonton, Jess officially moved in with Brad in August 2016. It would only be a few months later on December 5, 2016, Bradley would propose in Las Vegas in a private Highroller; that large Ferris Wheel you see off the strip for a beautiful vantage point of the whole city. I had to google it, it’s pretty cool. He had a butler, champagne, and strawberries. He put on music (Grow old with me – Florida Georgia Line) and even set up a go pro so he could record the whole thing. While she photographed the strip from her camera, he got down on one knee behind her and asked her to marry him and she was in complete shock. She said, “Oh my god. Get up!” haha but she did say yes.
That brings us to NOW! This past weekend Jessica & Bradley made it official at the Al Azher Shrine Centre over-looking a beautiful pond that is fed from the bow river. It was a perfect June day, some clouds, and scattered sun showers. Friends and family came from all over including Ontario and Northern Alberta and adorned them with so many amazing stories of their childhood but also of their time together as a couple. Bradley was emotional with his gratitude that Jess loved him and stood by him through all his time away from home on the rig, for her continued patience and grace as they have grown up together. He surprised her with a beautiful single pearl necklace that she wore for the first time on their wedding day. It was a truly beautiful day and full of so much laughter, congratulations again Mr & Mrs Lazoruk!
